Wallace Campus

Project Description

The Wallace Campus project is designed to be a signature development within the City’s Poughkeepsie Innovation  District in the eastern half of the City Block surrounded by Main Street, Catharine Street, and Mill  Street. It will include: 

• A restoration of the historic Wallace Department store building as the project anchor. 

• Two additional buildings supporting creation of a street wall along Main Street and  Catharine Street. 

• Commercial retail space on the ground floor along Main Street

• Mixed-income affordable rental housing in the upper stories of the buildings. 

• Privately-owned and maintained green space open to the public daily, featuring active and passive uses.

• On-site parking for vehicles, bike parking and circulation, and a footpath system throughout the campus.
